Although this shot was ruled not a goal, the Smithers Steelheads managed to beat out the Houston Luckies last Saturday night at the Claude Parish Memorial Arena in Houston. The Luckies made Smithers work for the win, but the Steelheads ended the game with a 3-2 victory, maintaining their undefeated streak with an overall record of 11-0. The Steelheads will be in Hazelton playing the Wolverines this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. The team will travel to Lac La Hache and Williams Lake on Dec. 17 and 18, then back to Houston on Friday, Dec. 30. New Year’s Eve will be the next home game for Smithers, when they will face off against the Luckies at 5:30 p.m.
