Stuart selected for Team BC U-18 hockey

Chilliwack's Kate Stuart is one of two goalies selected to represent the province at November's National Women's Championship in Regina.

Chilliwack’s Kate Stuart is going to Saskatchewan in November.And she’s happy about it.The Chilliwack goaltender has made the roster for Team BC’s U-18 female hockey squad.She and 19 others will rep the province in the 2016 National Women’s U18 Championship, running Nov. 9-13 in Regina.Stuart impressed at an evaluation camp held last weekend at the University of British Columbia Thunderbird Arena.“Over the course of the past four months, the 20 players who will represent Team BC this season have competed with passion, intensity and focus each time they had the opportunity to wear the BC crest,” said Team BC Head Coach, Christina Sharun.”Stuart’s crew faces Manitoba in the national opener.See hockeybc.net.
