CASSIE HALL students raced around the school field for the completion of the annual Run for Fun event.

This year, all the students from kindergarten to Grade 7 ran every day,  rain or shine, from April 11 until May 25.

The teachers keep track of every lap of the field that the children run and the students then earn ribbons when they reach milestones of 25 (kindergarten only) 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150.

“Some eager students have run more than 150 laps of the field!” said Denise Tupman.

“This is a huge accomplishment!”

The program is spearheaded by Grade 3/4 teacher Nancy Jay, who has worked very hard every year for many years to ensure that the children continue to have this opportunity to “get fit” for the summer months.
