Sun Peaks Resort opened for the 2015-2016 ski season last Friday. Chairlifts began taking skiers up the mountain at 9 a.m., one day earlier than the resort had originally expected due to the mid-mountain base of 58cm of accumulation, while the alpine base was sitting at 75cm.
