Super League Curling

Life heats up between the sheets as teams fight to be on top.

Super League playoffs were heating up last week, as most of the super leaguers hit the sheets in a scramble for the glory, or at least to avoid being on the bottom.

DLE doubled A&W to take their game 10-5.

It was a tight game until the seventh end, when DLE fired up the Kubota and ‘shut the front door’ on the burger boys, scoring five to end the game.

Willis Harper and Investors Group struggled to a 7-6 score in favour of Willis.

Investors Group failed to close the door on Willis Harper. As interest rates fell short, Willis Harper’s last rock in extra ends sealed the deal.

In the lone B-squad game, JAR Transportation took down Frank’s 10-3.

JAR took it to the Frank’s crew and ran them right out of rocks. It was over in four ends.

CDC, who finished the season tied with DLE for first, was the favourite against Billy Barker, but it was Billy who took the game, 10-2.

The big green machine croaked under the pressure, allowing Billy to take the win.

Sky-Hi seems to have floated away over the last two weeks, which would account for their second postponed game in as many weeks, this time against Karin’s Deli.

The penultimate day of competition for the playoffs takes place this Wednesday.
