Curlers were super busy again last weekend slipping about on ice in an effort to put stones close to dots.
Particularly proficient at the dot finding was DLE who managed to out score A&W.
In the feature match, the Kubota boys feasted on the A&Ws, one buddy burger at a time, finishing at 5-0 and “shut the front door.”
Billy Barker and Investors group played to a much closer finish, with Billy Barker taking the match 7-5.
With a steady day on the market, the Investors made sound investments, until the market turned bear. At the closing bell, the people decided to gamble their bets on the Billy Barker Casino for the win.
JAR and Karin’s Deli layer everything they had down on sheet ‘D’.
In a tightly fought game, JAR stole one in the eighth to get the win over Karin’s Deli.
Over on sheet ‘E’ it was an even closer game between Frank’s and Cariboo.
It took two extra ends before the eve revenge effluent makers ran out of steam, and it was the Frank’s beaters smiling long and proud with the 8-7 victory. Free jackets were given out to diehard fans.
CDC found a much easier game in the 6-3 win over Willis Harper.
Willis Harper came riding in on their magic carpet, but the kids swept them under the rug, maintaining sole possession of first place. There was no lesson that day — school’s out.
The curlers will get down with their bad selves on the ice this Wednesday at 7:30.
