Ultimate Frisbee was serious business last weekend at Lakeside Park.
Buisness Buisness — that’s not a typo — defeated the Mental Toss Flycoons of Missoula, Mont., 13-8 in Sunday’s final at the annual Disc Break tournament.
It’s the second straight year Buisness Buisness, made of athletes from Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, have won the tournament hosted by Nelson Homegrown.
Fiesta, from Spokane and Tri-Cities, finished third ahead of Seattle’s Make Canada America Again.
Homegrown finished fifth, Seattle’s Trolls were sixth, Rogue Hippo of Edmonton were seventh and Whatev of Victoria and Nanaimo placed eighth. Kelowna’s The Belafonte won the B pool, while Bad Mother Forkers of Grand Forks took the spirit prize.
About 225 athletes on 15 teams took part in the event. Scroll down for more pictures of the action.
