Emma Hall, Emily Duchak and Mykhaela Johnson of Maple Ridge helped Team Pacific win the Quebec Female Prospects Tournament in Montreal on the weekend.
Team Pacific is a girls’ AAA hockey program that selects players from around B.C. The atom division of the Montreal tournament also included teams from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, as well as Vermont.
Team Pacific went undefeated in the tournament, winning six games by a combined score of 39-3.
Team Pacific played the Ottawa Admirals, previously undefeated, in the gold-medal game Sunday. The two sides took turns sharing the lead throughout the game. However, Stephanie Wallace, off a face-off win, skated the length of the ice and scored a shorthanded goal with only minutes remaining for a 3-2 victory.
