The Comox Valley Tennis Club has had an extremely successful season, and with over 250 members the courts have never been busier.
Many new players joined the club this year and participated in the new member Friday drop-ins in April. Their enthusiasm and excitement about playing tennis added a great deal to the club.
A new-member round robin tournament was also added to the season wrap-up with Mike Holland winning and George Fortier runner-up.
Volunteers are the key to any successful club and many thanks to Tony Wong, Dave McLeod and Pat McGrath for running the various events throughout the season, Peter Hagberg and Shirley Kirk who assisted with the very active 52 Juniors enrolled in the Junior Tennis Program and Judy Francis and Don Axtell who organized the Spring and Summer Leagues.
