TERRACE TRACK Club athletes are in Smithers today trying out for the BC Summer Games.

Coach Dighton Haynes, one of several for the club, had hoped to have 10 to 12 of his 20 athletes try out.

“The track club is alive and kicking and there are very good athletes competing,” said Haynes.

A few youths who went ot the summer games a while ago were training for this weekend.

“There’s some things to build on and if we can build on the summer games this year it would really help the team overall in the future,” said Haynes.

The Terrace Track club practises Monday through Thursday nights, with the Tuesday practice focusing on high jump only.
