Fraser Valley Basketball League holds basketball skills camps for kids in Surrey on weekends in January.

The Fraser Valley Basketball League is running basketball camps for kids on weekends throughout January at Khalsa School, 6962 124 St.

Last weekend, more than 150 kids took part in camps on each day, doing drills and practicing teamwork on the court.

The Surrey-based non-profit, volunteer-run and coached FVBL is a year-round program for boys and girls in Grades 1-11.

The next camps are on Jan. 17, 18, 24 and 25.

The times are Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for Grades 1-5 and 12:30-2 p.m. for Grades 6-11, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Grades 1-5 and 1-3 p.m. for Grades 6-11. For more information, call 778-833-3822 or visit www.basketballfv.com
