By reaching their destination of BC Children’s Hospital, Archie Sull and Rob Gardner along with the Sull family are already planning and working on the 2015 Cycling 530 tour for BC Children’s Hospital.
The success we had in raising awareness of BC Children’s Hospital and the amount that was raised locally and from around the province for pediatrics and neurology has solidified that the cause must continue.
We had a goal of $10,000 and the night before we cycled to BC Children’s Hospital Balj Sull had updated the BC Children’s Hospital Superhero’s Website and Cycling 530 was at $15,000.
The team was excited that we not only surpassed our goal but at the same time knowing that our cycling event had rallied other communities around the province.
The next morning after our interview with a local radio station we began the final preparation to cycle to BC Children’s Hospital.
Cycling 530 lead car driver Gurnek (Gary) Sull and father of Archie Sull presented Rob and
Archie with a matching grant to what had been raised, $15,849.79 bringing the total to $30,849.79.
This journey started as Jaden Sull had inspired us to do something for a hospital that not only cared for her but for many in our beautiful community of Quesnel.
We are very proud and humbled by the tremendous support that our community gave us and as well carried us to BC Children’s Hospital.
We have endless stories that have touched our hearts and more importantly motivated us to keep the event going and to keep up the awareness of BC Children’s Hospital.
Many of our local community members have visited or know of someone that has been in Children’s Hospital.
The total for 2014 as of July 30 is $31,393.58.
We hope to match or even surpse that amount for 2015.
If any cyclists or aspiring cyclists would like more information please message us on Facebook and we can be found at Ques Cycle.
From the team and family at Cycling 530 Archie Sull, Rob Gardner, Balj Sull, Jaden Sull and Gary Sull, we thank you Quesnel for helping us get to BC Children’s Hospital.
