With three different classes of cars taking their turns around the Gold Pan Speedway, including a 100 lap main event, the oval hosted a very full day of racing on Saturday.

The three classes included the regular Mr. Mikes Mini Stocks and the Quesnel Iron Street Stocks. But the main event, and the treat for race fans, was the brightly coloured ARCA cars.

Closer to the cars circling tracks in NASCAR than any car you might see on the road, the ARCA cars were a rainbow of colour as they blurred around the track, letting out shrieks of banshees as the drivers coaxed every bit of power from the engine in an effort to win.

In the Mr. Mikes Mini Stocks, Davin Barks, from Prince Geoge, took first in the main. In the Quesnel Iron Street Stocks, local Mike Lefebvre took first in the main event.

In the ARCA series 27 Mark Berriau won, 18 Ian Graham came second, 71 Dave Olson was third, followed by 92 Logan Jewel. Number 5 Bob Williams battled into fifth. Top finishing rookie 21 Cass Walker claims her first top ten finish.

This meant the top three drivers in the points race, Berriau, Grahm and Olson, kept theeir place and pulled a couple more points in front of their challengers.
