Holly hotness! How about this weather, eh? It’s great for early-morning golf, but kind of hot and sticky in the afternoons.
It was pleasant on the links on Sunday, where 40 men teed it up for the Van Isle Ford Scramble. Many thanks to Will Pulford and the folks at Van Isle Ford for their continued support of this event.
The team of Vito Caldararo, Don McGowan, Bill Bjorenson and Gary McLeod emerged the winners with a score of 61. Also with 61, losing by retrogression, was the team of Glen Trask, Jack Sparks, Steve Pointon and Wolf Suhr.
In third spot with 61, also losing by retrogression, was the foursome of Preben Rasmussen, Will Pulford, Don Anderson and Mel Trelvik.
Fourth place went to Cal Davies, Mike Savard, Dave Mann and Paul Saulnier. In fifth place was the team of Brian Tall, Darren Van Dyk, Bill Moran and Don Grill; sixth was won by Fred Fredrickson, Jerry White, Dennis Frykas and Vic Carlton.
