It’s almost time to drop the flag on the 2016 racing season at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
The executive has been busy getting the track ready for the opening event, scheduled for May 28 where local classes including bone stock, pro mini and street stock will vie for double points.
On top of that, the Wescar Late Model Touring Series will be featured.
Racers held a tech ‘n’ tune open practice this past weekend at the track where racers took turns settling into their respective driver’s seats as they put their cars to the test.
The season opener kicks off with qualifying laps at 4 p.m. and racing at 5 p.m. at TMS, located west of Williams Lake off Highway 20 on Bond Lake Road.
