The Langley Thunder are playing for a third straight Western Lacrosse Association title.
The Thunder booked their spot in the championship final thanks to an 11-9 victory on Saturday night over the host Coquitlam Adanacs.
The win gave Langley a 4-0 series sweep in the senior A semifinal series.
The Thunder, the WLA’s top seed, will host second-place Victoria Shamrocks in game one of the best-of-seven championship series on Aug. 14 at the Langley Events Centre.
The Shamrocks also swept their semifinal series over the Burnaby Lakers.
The Thunder never trailed in game four, leading 4-2 after one period and 8-5 after 40 minutes.
They used a dominant power play to get the job done, scoring on all four of their opportunities. Leading the way was Shayne Jackson, who had four goals and three assists.
Garrett Billings (two goals, three assists) and Adam Jones (two goals) also had multi-goal games while Brett Mysdke, Daniel McQuade and Mike Grimes had one goal apiece. Alex Turner chipped in with three assists.
Brodie MacDonald stopped 38 shots in the victory.

During the regular season, Langley (11-5-2) won two of three games versus Victoria (11-7-0).
The Shamrocks won 8-7 back in May while Langley won 11-6 and 9-8 in July.
Victoria
The final will pit the top scoring team versus the league’s stingiest.
Victoria averaged just over 11 goals per game while Langley surrendered 7.6.
