Nolan Frame added four goals for the Tigers, who finished second in the regular season at 8-6-2. The Venom won the league title at 14-1-1, their only coming loss against Vernon.

Kamloops used a four-goal, third-period flurry, including a goal by Quinn Smith on a penalty shot with no time remaining, to force a 10-minute overtime. Vernon scored the only three goals of the OT.

The penalty shot was given when a referee ruled Vernon goalie Tyler Landry had moved his net.
