The Timbermen know that in a short season, they need to take advantage when they get a homestand.
The senior A Nanaimo Timbermen play twice at Frank Crane Arena in the coming days, hosting the Maple Ridge Burrards on Friday (June 16) and then the Victoria Shamrocks on Sunday.
Nanaimo is one game below .500 and coming off a bit of an off night last Saturday at home against the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
T-men coach Kaleb Toth expects his players to respond the right way.
“They’re young guys, they’re upset, they don’t like playing bad, especially in front of our home fans, and they don’t like to lose, which is good,” Toth said. “We’re starting to breed that into them that it’s not OK to lose and you want to be better and that’s what they want to do and I’m sure they’re going to come out next game and attack and be better.”
GAME ON … Game time is 7 p.m. on both Friday and Sunday at Frank Crane Arena.
