Peters Tirecraft brushed back the Salmon Arm GM Outlaws 2-1 in North Okanagan Men’s Soccer League play Wednesday night at MacDonald Park.
Tirecraft went in front at 20 minutes when Kenzel Aarts-Roman converted a through ball by Brock Reim for a low drive from the top of the 18.
The Outlaws levelled the score in the 35th minute when a 40-yard shot fooled keeper Peter (Kaz) Kouzouloglou.
Tirecraft netted the winner at 60 minutes when Murphy Anifoinoshe pushed the ball by a defender and fed Mike Conlin for a shot at the edge of the six.
The Longhorn Man of the Match for Tirecraft was sweeper Gavin Brewster.
Turn-Key Controls clipped Eagle Homes Nation of Domination 2-1 in league play in Salmon Arm.
The Controllers struck first after some pressure created a corner kick. John Moesker took the corner which bounced back to him and he placed a corker far top corner.
Eagle Homes came back hard and the play was back and forth on the bumpy field with both teams struggling with passes. The Shuswap crew got a good bounce through some defenders to gain a breakaway which they finished.
After half time, the play was pretty even. Turn-Key applied more pressure and Adam McCaffery swiped the ball, turned and blasted a shot top shelf from distance for the winner.
Eagle Homes pushed hard the final 20 minutes but Turn-Key’s back line stood strong and keeper Gregg Douma registered a few quick reaction saves.
Monashee FC grounded the Revelstoke Stallions 3-1. No results were reported.
