A Sunday afternoon match-up between the two Shuswap Bunny ringette teams provided great entertainment for the fans in the stands and a tough work out for the kids on the ice. In a very close game, the Thunderkids managed a victory over their friends on the Shuswap Black Ninja team. It was a hard win, as the Thunderkids had no spares, so the six players were on the ice the entire game.
The scoring duo of brothers Max and Sam Calkins were at it again, combining for four goals and providing assists for each other, while their linemate Georgia Davies did her part with impressive passing. The trio of Emily French, Brianna Congdon and Kaelah Riley also showed great chemistry. French’s determined play contributed to the line’s success, where Riley and Congdon each had a goal and a helper.
The exhausted Thunderkids were able to replenish their energy after the game with some tasty baking courtesy of the team manager.
