Titans triumphant

Mark Francis supplied 4+3 as the Nedco Titans grounded the North Okanagan Knights 12-4 in North Okanagan Midget Super Hockey League play Friday night at Wesbild Centre.

Chad Woodhead and Austin Bosquet each scored twice for the Titans, while singles came from Yanik Fillion-Murphy, Garrett Dansereau, Kolton Kirschner and Chris Gallant in support of Zoran Bos.

The Knights got goals from Dustin Copeland, James Krahn, Brad Honeyman and Austin Larson.

Meanwhile, the Vernon Watkin Motor Mustangs fell 5-0 to the Kelowna in Pee Wee Tier 1 league play Friday night.

The Mustangs are closing the gap on Kelowna, Friday being their closest result to date.

The Mustangs were backstopped by goalie Shane Meadahl, who turned in a huge in 35-save performance.

Powell Connor and Reece Schroeder where solid on defence.

The Stangs take on Kamloops in league play today,  2 p.m. at Westbild.

The Vernon Sun Valley Source For Sports Renegades bowed to the Pursuit of Excellence in Bantam Tier 1 action Friday night at Wesbild.

The Renegades started well, but the powerful Pursuit team took  the game over late in the first period, scoring five goals in the last six minutes.

Bryce Dyck and Louis Springer shared the goaltending duties in the loss.  Both teams racked up 14 minutes in penalties.
