TOFC soccer teams hit pitch in playoff action this weekend

U-13 girls, U-14 boys off to Vancouver for playoffs this weekend

A pair of Thompson Okanagan Football Club teams will be on the Lower Mainland this weekend for B.C. Soccer Premier League playoff action.

The TOFC U13 girls will take on Coastal FC in the semifinals, while the TOFC U14 boys meet Surrey in the league semis on Sunday.

The winners will advance to the league finals on the weekend of June 29.

The TOFC U13 girls earned the fourth and final playoff berth with a 3-2 victory over Fusion in their final regular season game on Sunday. Savanna Yamamoto, with two goals, and Payton Brisco scored for TOFC. A day earlier, the Okanagan-based girls, who finished the regular season at 3-8-1, lost 3-0 to Coastal.

Meanwhile, after playing to a 2-2 draw with Fusion on Saturday, the TOFC U14 boys needed just one more point to score the fourth and final playoff spot.

On Sunday, they got exactly what they needed with a 2-2 draw against Coastal.

Mitch Morgan and Grayson Perrier tallied for goals for the TOFC which finished the season with a 4-5-5 record.
