The Thompson Okanagan FC kicked off the B.C. Soccer Premier League spring season by facing Surrey United at Cloverdale Athletic Park last weekend.
Highlights included performances by Under 18 Girls Vernon-based midfielder Maddy Laranjo, who dominated in midfield, and fullback Kailyn Halvorson who was rock-solid on defence.
Vernon products Chris McIntosh and Maguire Lauridson were tireless in their U15 Boys 1-1 draw which saw their team down to 10 men a mere 20 minutes into the match due to a red card.
