Joey Toolsie won the third annual Vernon Pickleball Club Tournament last weekend at Priest Valley Gym.
There was a field of 32 players with Toolsie posting 98 points for a repeat title. Scott Piper was second with 96 points, followed by Greg Thompson, with 94 points.
In the medal rounds, gold went to Piper and Marty Leier, silver to Thompson and Toolsie, and bronze to Cliff Vico and Rod Townlsey. Runner-ups were Nancy Agassi and Gerry Forcier.
Top Female tournament player was Agassiz.
Tourney sponsors Johnson Meier Insurance, and Pickleball Depot were praised for donating prizes.
The club is now playing outdoors at MacDonald Park (Seaton) and Middleton Mountain. Free lessons go Saturdays, 9-10 a.m., at MacDonald Park.
