Haleigh Lloyd, a Ladysmith Secondary School graduate and track and field athlete, is still breaking records.
Now a nursing major at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Lloyd placed first in the 400-metre hurdles and fourth in the 100-metre hurdles at the first competition of the season.
She posted two UAA records individually and was a member of the record-breaking 4×100-metre relay and 4×400-metre relay teams.
She set four school records for the Seawolves’ track and field team.
Her registered personal best times are 1:01.1 in the 400-metre hurdles and 14.78 in the 10-metre hurdles.
The UNLV Spring Break Track Classic was held at the Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr Smith Field in Las Vegas, Saturday, March 5.
The Seawolves are off next to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California on March 25.
