Tractor action at Phoenix

It takes a community to raise an Italian-made tractor!

The hill has been brushed by the tractor and also hand brushed by dedicated volunteers, three of which are pictured: (from left) John Malins, Ray Pavan and Don Colclough.

After two years of volunteer effort and support, Phoenix Mountain put into service this past fall, an Italian-made four-wheel drive centre articulating machine designed for steep slopes.

The tractor was donated to Phoenix Mountain by Steve Buzikievich of Summerland and although it didn’t have a motor, one was found in Bonnington, B.C. thanks to Tom Brach, who is a parts dealer for European tractors.

The Phoenix Mountain Alpine Ski Society (PMASS) wants to thank and acknowledge everyone who helped the project come to fruition.
