City of Trail worker John Harper hangs from the rafters of the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre inspecting and replacing pulleys for the popular “Drop of Doom.” The Aquatic Centre began its annual maintenance program on Saturday and will be closed until Sept. 13. However, the Fitness Centre, after a rigorous scrubbing and waxing, will open for business on Aug. 24, with a reduced drop-in rate due to the pool shut down.
