Mothers Unite Garage Sale is happening on Saturday at the Trail Memorial Centre Gym. The Gym will be turned into a giant indoor garage sale for all items suitable for children from newborns to 12-year-olds. If you have ‘stuff’ you wish to sell join us by renting a table for $10. For the shoppers, doors open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come out and check out all the quality used items to buy at a great price. Art Classes for ages 7 to 12 years with Deborah Martin began this week. Deborah is an Artist, Illustrator, and Art Instructor with lots of experience and shares a desire to foster creativity in children. Choose from a variety of theme topics, where Deborah will provide the knowledge necessary to control the materials while learning how to unlock the door to imagination. Classes run Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s from 3:15 – 5:15 p.m. Call 364-0888 for details.
Body Tone / Barre classes run Monday and Wednesday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the Memorial Centre. You will develop lean muscles in this low impact full body workout. All exercises are targeted in working at different angles of push and pull to challenge and tone a specific body part. Attention is given for all fitness levels and abilities.
Mom and Baby Fitness Classes run on Thursday’s from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Memorial Centre. This action packed class includes a large variety of fun, safe and easy to follow exercises for mom with baby. Please note that you will be lifting your baby during the workout, so an appropriate baby weight is recommended.
Evening Badminton runs Tuesday’s and Thursday’s starting at 8:15 p.m. at the Willi Krause Fieldhouse until June 30. Players all levels of skill and experience are invited to participate. Run, Jump, Throw runs April 18 to June 6, Monday’s from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Willi Krause Fieldhouse.
Home Alone for ages 10 and up is a course designed to provide children with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for a short period of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied. The next course is on Monday, April 18 (Pro-D Day), 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Babysitter Training Course for ages 11 to 15 will run on April 20 and 22, Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Trail Aquatic Centre.
