Triathlon returns to Abbotsford

Event features adult and kids’ races in a one-day competition at Albert Dyck Park.

The Abbotsford Triathlon returns this weekend for its third annual event.

The one-day competition runs Sunday, Aug. 16 at Albert Dyck Memorial Park in Abbotsford (on Walmsley Avenue).

The Adult Sprint will feature a 750-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike ride and five-kilometre run. Kids of Steel (KOS) events will also be featured for age brackets 8-11, 12-15 and 13-19, with modified routes.

The event helps raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity, which builds affordable housing for families.
