Troll Resort set to host telemark festival

Telemark skiing enthusiasts from Troll Resort welcome all interested skiers, regardless of ability, to join them for the annual Troll Telefest, March 12.

Telemark skiing enthusiasts from Troll Resort welcome all interested skiers, regardless of ability, to join them for the annual Troll Telefest, March 12.

Troll Resort is set to host skiers from Prince George, south to Williams Lake, for the 6th annual Telemark festival, March 12.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with lessons beginning at 10 a.m.

“The lessons are designed to develop skills and technique for the beginner and intermediate level skiers,” event organizer Dougal Hines said.

In the afternoon, there will be a fun race for the more advanced skiers and the RCMP will be on-hand with a radar gun to clock their speeds.

Later in the afternoon, the five-piece band, The Orange Years, will entertain in the lodge.

The registration fee, is $25 and includes the coveted long-sleeve Troll Telefest T-shirt, lessons, fun race and live music.

There will be draw prizes from Rocky Peak Adventure and Red Shred’s.

With exceptional snow conditions this year, organizers invite everyone to join in on the fun to celebrate the sport of telemark skiing and the Troll Resort’s warm and friends hospitality.
