Another beautiful evening on June 23, and 45 lovely ladies...what a combination

Another beautiful evening on June 23, and 45 lovely ladies…what a combination. It just doesn’t get any better.  My golfing could get better but the food, the company, the weather are all tops.  Thanks to Babes Shanko and Betty Foote for finishing dinner off with a delicious duo of desserts in my favourite flavour, chocolate.

Flight 1 winners were Catharine Phillips (47 – low gross) and Trudy Forsythe (51 – low net).  The flight was sponsored by Hub International.  Flight 2 winners were Vicki Hoffer (48 – low gross) and Jeannie Webber (51 – low net).  Irene Beeton with a score of 54 was the low gross winner of Flight 3.  Interior Savings Credit Union sponsored the putt prizes.  After coming close a number of times Barb Smith had the joy of picking up the least putt prize using onl 15 putts.  Jean Seaman had the dubious honour of winning most putts (33).  The Birdie pot was split between Susan Bondar and Cindy Leibel.

Winners on Hole 1 were Cindy Leibel (KP in Three – AG Foods), Betty Baillie (Long drive – Armour Mountain Office Services), and Valeria Williams (Barriere A & W).  On Hole 2 Brenda Oakland had a long drive (Barriere Timber Mart) while Barb Morris (Barriere Massage) and Brenda Carl (Crystlee’s Hair Design) had long putts.  Marion Wallace won the only pin (Country Store Antiques) on Hole 3 with a long putt.  KPs on Hole 4 went to Trudy Forsythe (Bondar Forest Planning), Evelyn Lucas (Carl’s Market Garden) and Wanda Amos (Campbell & Co).  Long putts on Hole 5 went to Louise Lodge (Estylo Hair Design) and Hazel Cross (Knights Inn).  On Hole 6 the KP prizes went to Debbie Rainer (EBL Ventures), Betty Baillie (Ron Wallace Trucking) and Holly Van Sickle (Stamer Logging).  Many, many, many ladies picked up a prize from Barb and Carmna Smith for popping their drives into the gully on Hole 7 while Teresa Warren won the Pottery by Ramona prize for KP in 2.  Linda Ransome won the Rainer Custom Cutting prize for a long putt on Hole 8.  Long drives on Hole 9 won prizes for Marian Wallace (Sam’s Pizza) and Doreen Landry (Station House Restaurant).

For those of you who always look forward to our fun nights here is the news on the July one.  On July 21 we will celebrate Christmas in July.  It is a four person scramble with a 5:30 shot gun start.  Price includes green fees, golf cart, prizes and supper.

It is my favourite supper of the summer…turkey with all the fixings…and it is deliciours!

For more information call Chinook Cove Golf.  Sign up early as we always have a big turnout.
