The U14 Boys Rep soccer team opened their season this Sunday in Vernon.

Still waiting for local city fields to open the boys have been practicing in the RSS gym and the school fields to get ready, playing catch up to the larger centres who have been outside for some time already.

The boys came out strong and played well, taking a 2-0 lead into the half. Parents and coaches alike were impressed with their early season form and control.

The second half saw Vernon tie it  before Revelstoke pressed hard but failed to pull ahead again despite a quality effort. The game ended in a well earned 2-2 tie.

The team has a 14 game season that see’s them out of town for six games straight before playing seven at home and a final away game.

Please look for an opportunity to come out and support the lads as the season progresses to those home games and they host teams from throughout the Okanagan this spring.
