Clearwater Hosers win slow-pitch tournament in Heffley Creek – at last

The Hosers celebrate after closing out the 2011 season by going undefeated at the Brew Crew’s Heffley Creek tournament on Sept 17/18. This is a tournament the Hosers have entered for the past 10 years (at least) and the first time they’ve been successful. The team is rather unique as there are three fathers and four sons who regularly play. Team members come from Barriere and Kamloops as well as Clearwater. Ages range from 34 to 65. As it is the only men’s slo-pitch team in Clearwater, the season consists of playing only in tournaments. This year was very successful for the team. Pictured are (back, l-r) Brad Anderson and Jasmine, Rick Kienlein, Clint Anderson, Jon (J-Dogg) Brady, Clint McGill and Tao, Len Jackson, (middle, l-r) Scott Thomas, Phil Janicki, Orlynn Braaten, Grant Gunn, Brett Gunn, (front, l-r) Jr. Hosers Parker, Harry, Katie, Carter, Morgan, Ty, and Scott.
