Three different players scored for the Cowichan Flickers last Saturday as they downed the Rebels Patriots 3-1 in Vancouver Island Field Hockey League Div. 1 action at UVic.
Cowichan Secondary School senior Thunderbirds co-coach Caitlin Evans and current player Emma Dame both scored for the Flickers, while another T-Birds alumna, Teresa Gregus, had the other goal. Kate Little replied for the Patriots.
It was a successful weekend all around as the Cowichan Kestrels won their Div. 3 game and the Cowichan Swifts played to a draw in Div. 2.
Hayley Picard and April Keller scored for the Kestrels as they defeated Lynx III 2-0. Kaleigh Simons, who coaches the Cowichan Secondary junior team, scored for the Swifts in a 1-1 tie with the Rebels Blue Jays.
