UPDATE: Prince Rupert teams compete in provincials

It was day two of the high school AA provincials in Kamloops, and Prince Rupert's senior boys and senior girls were once again in action.

It was day two of the high school AA provincials in Kamloops, and Prince Rupert’s senior boys and senior girls were once again in action.

On Thursday the boys faced off with Archbishop Carney and fell to the Port Coquitlam squad by a final score of 77-56. Chris Mair once again led the team with 19 points during the game.

The girls faced off with Summerland Secondary and came up just short. When the final buzzer sounded the score was 72-65.

On day one the senior boys opened the tournament with a game against GW Graham on Chilliwack and ended up on the wrong side of a 93-59 score. Chris Mair led the Rainmakers with 16 points in the game.

At the same time as the boys were playing, the girls opened the tournament against Lambrick Park of Victoria. The girls fell to the Island team by a final score of 85-56. Celina Guadagni led the girls with 22 points.

In Langley, the junior girls played twice on Thursday. In the first game they lost to South Kamloops 55-11 and later that afternoon fell to Little Flower Academy of Vancouver 43-19
