Valliere vying for berth on Team BC golf team

Mark Valliere 16, junior member of Crown Isle Resort, is one of four finalists for two remaining spots on Team BC for the Western Canada Summer Games.

Valliere will be heading to the Dunes in Kamloops April 23-25 for a performance camp evaluation. The 2011 Western Canada Summer Games will be held in Kamloops in August.

This past weekend (April 2-3), Valliere tied for fifth place in the Boys 14-16 division of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour Prodigy Series at Morgan Creek Golf Club in Surrey (site of the 2011 RCG Canadian Junior Boys Championship).

 

Valliere shot rounds of 72 and 73 to finish at one-over par 145. Kevin Vigna of Coquitlam won the division with a 138 (68-70) total.
