Best game of the 46th annual Coca-Cola Classic Pee Wee Invitational Hockey Tournament was the first one between the Vernon Watkin Motors Mustangs and Chilliwack Bruins.

Those two speedy and skilled clubs will meet again in the last game of the extravaganza: in Sunday’s Amy Myles Memorial A event final at 5:30 p.m. (Civic Arena.)

Vernon ambushed the Seafair Islanders of Richmond 11-1, while Chilliwack brushed back the West Kootenay Rapids of Nelson-Castlegar in Saturday semifinals.

Seafair goes up against West Kootenay in the John Kuly Memorial B event championship Sunday at 3:15 p.m.

Jarred Feist supplied three goals, while JJ Milne bagged a deuce for the Mustangs, who are defending tournament champions. Singles went to captain Austin Roest, Deagan McMillan, Jace Weir, Bennett Kuhnlein, Erik Pastro and Cosmo Wilson. Nick Noren pocketed five assists. Teo Lin replied for the Isles.

Captain Greye Rampton, with a pair, Crosby Hampton and Owen Hopcott counted snipes for Chilliwack, who lost a 4-3 thriller to Vernon on Thursday morning. Nathan Medeiros and Simon Forrester answered for the Rapids.

The Cochrane Rockies edged the Sherwood Park Spartans 3-2, while the California Wave rolled over the Montana Thunderblades in consolation side play Saturday. Cochrane meets California in the Mickey McMahon Memorial C event final Sunday at 12:30 p.m., while Montana and Sherwood Park do battle in the Mickey Ogasawara Memorial D event tilt at 10 a.m.
