North Langley Football Association gets things going with back-t0-back home openers on Saturday.

North Langley Football Association is kicking off its season with a day of action at McLeod Athletic Park.

After what team organizers describe as a “long hot summer of practices, and some tournament, and exhibition games, the regular season is finally here!”

All division of the Bears kick off the action with home openers today.

The day started with the midgets team hosting a fundraiser pancake breakfast in the morning. It also feature a facepainter at the field much of the day painting NLFA logos on people’s faces. And the day included the raffling off of a BC Lions helmet – a free draw for NLFA players only.

The last games of the afternoon are Bantam Bears against North Surrey Tigers at 3:30 p.m. followed by the North Langley Kodiaks against the North Surrey Bears at 5:30 p.m.
