Ron Moser, president of the Summerland Horseshoe Club, said this is the club’s 62nd annual tournament.

“This is one of the oldest things in Summerland,” he said of the horseshoe club. “Something that’s been going for that long, we’ve got to keep it going.”

Nick Culic, a member of the club since 1999, has competed in the tournament every year since he joined.

Irene Lund, a member of the club for the past two years, joined because she was looking to get involved in a social activity.

“I wanted to make new friends and try something new,” she said. “This is a lot of fun. There are a lot of great people having a good time.”
