The always-popular Sardis Strongman competition returned to Sardis secondary school this week, with students testing themselves in five athletic events.
Celebrating its 20th year, the event runs over five days and this year saw 58 students sign up.
On Monday, they tackled the sled pull and Tuesday was the sandbag shuttle. Wednesday was the tire flip and Thursday the sled push.
The Friday finale is the farmer’s carry.
In recent years the Sardis Strongman has also included an alumni event. Forty former Sardis students are ready to roll Friday night, with action starting at 7 p.m.
