Langley's Walnut Grove Gators are the best in B.C. after defeating Kelowna in the BC 4A championship final at the Langley Events Centre




In front of more than an estimated 5,000 fans, the Walnut Grove Gators captured their sport’s ultimate prize, defeating the Kelowna Owls.

The Gators outscored the Owls 20-8 in the fourth quarter, turning a one-point game into a 78-65 victory on Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre in the championship finals of the BC 4A senior boys basketball championships.

James Woods was named most outstanding player while his Walnut Grove teammates Ty Rowell (first team) and Andrew Goertzen (second team) were also selected all-stars.
