Warriors down by two in BCHL Interior final

Defending national champion Penticton Vees take 2-0 lead on West Kelowna with 5-1 win in Game 2

The hometown Penticton Vees scored three power play goals en route to a 5-1 defeat the West Kelowna Warriors Saturday in Game 2 of the BCHL’s Interior Conference final.

The Vees now lead the best-of-seven series two games to none.

Jedd Soleway scored a goal and added two assists for the Vees who led 1-0 and 4-1 by periods.

Reid Simmons scored the Warriors’ lone goal at 19:05 of the second period.

The shots were even, 25-25.

Games 3 and 4 set for Monday and Tuesday Royal LePage Place.
