In what could well be the last regular season home game in team history, the West Kelowna Warriors will take on the Penticton Vees Tuesday night in BCHL action.
Face off at Royal LePage Place is 7 p.m.
With three games remaining, the Warriors (26-27-2-0) are tied for third spot in the Interior Division with Trail, but have a game in hand on the Smoke Eaters (25-25-5-1).
While Penticton and Vernon will receive first-round byes, the remaining four teams in the division will play a first-round series. The third seed will play the sixth seed, while No. 4 seed plays No. 5.
The Warriors will close out the regular season on the road, with games Friday in Merritt and Saturday in Salmon Arm.
Earlier this year, owner Mark Cheyne signed a letter of intent to transfer ownership of the Warriors to a group on the Lower Mainland.
The potential move of the club to North Delta is subject to approval by the B.C. Hockey League’s board of governors.
Since taking over sole ownership of the club in 2009, the Warriors have been an annual money-losing venture for Cheyne.
