Coming off their most lopsided defeat of the season, the West Kelowna Warriors are reloading this week for an Interior division rival.
On Friday night at Kal Tire Place, the defending BCHL champs will battle the Vernon Vipers. Face-off is 7 p.m.
West Kelowna (12-14-1-0) took one on the chin Saturday in Wenatchee, losing 11-2 to the Wild.
The Warriors ran out of gas after playing four games in five nights, including the last three in as many days.
Conner Sodergren and Matt Campese scored for the Warriors, who were outshot 58-21.
After a 6-3 win Friday in Surrey, the Warriors fell 4-2 Friday in Langley, before heading stateside on Saturday.
West Kelowna’s next home action is this Saturday night against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Face-off at Royal LePage Place.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have traded forward Marshall Wilton to the Saskatchewan junior league’s Notre Dame Hounds for future considerations.
Wilton, 18, a native of Emerald Park, SK, had a goal and two assists in 16 games with West Kelowna this season.
