Kelowna product Max Bulawka has committed to the West Kelowna Warriors for the 2017-18 B.C. Hockey League season.
The 16-year-old forward has played the last two seasons at Kelowna’s Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.
In 2015-16, Bulawka scored 20 goals and had 55 points in just 32 games, split between the Bantam Prep and Elite 15s squads.
The 6-foot-0, 170-pound Bulawka spent 2016-17 with POE’s Midget Prep team where he finished second in team scoring with 13 goals and 31 points in 30 games.
“Max is a great young talent,” said Warriors head coach and general manager Rylan Ferster.
“For such a young player, he doesn’t panic with the puck and already has a solid 200-foot game, which should translate well into his first year of junior hockey.”
