The Nyrstar, Seymour Pacific Broadstreet Properties Midget AA Tyees captured the Island Championships last weekend. The Tyees won all three of its games played: the first against Comox 29-10 (game MVP was James Severs), the second against Duncan 5-3 (game MVP Gavin Rauser), and the final against Victoria 5-3 (game MVP Joe Gonsky). The Tyees move on to the provincials in Mission this weekend.
