President Golden Minor Hockey Association
On behalf of the executive board of Golden Minor Hockey, I would like to welcome all players, parents, coaches, and managers to the 2011/2012 season.
This year we are excited to have teams in the A/B, Novice, Atom, Peewee, Midget, and Girls divisions.
The number of registered players has slightly increased this year, and we are always willing to bring on new players that might be interested in playing hockey.
We have offered half-season rates to players in the A/B, Novice, and Atom divisions. We will also be providing registered players with a $50 voucher for the 2012/2013 season for every new player that they recruit this season. The only stipulation is that the new player must have never played organized hockey, and never been registered as a player in Golden Minor Hockey. This program is effective immediately.
As with any youth organization, there is always the need for parent volunteers. Teams require personnel in key positions such as team managers, coaches, equipment managers, and concession reps. The executive also has some vacant positions that need to be filled. If you are interested in becoming a member of the GMHA executive, please let us know.
Throughout the year, we will be providing updates through our website and through social media via Facebook. Please refer to these resources often for important dates and events. We will soon be launching our “Hour of Ice” Initiative, with details to follow in the coming weeks.
