Wild Wild West Rodeo packs Stampede Park

It was a jam-packed barn Monday evening for the BC Elders Gathering Wild Wild West Rodeo.

Held at the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds, the event featured bareback riding, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, a cowhide race, a pony express race, steer wrestling, junior steer riding, a mountain race, barrel racing, pole bending, a flat race, an Indian relay race, breakaway roping, team roping and bull riding.

Prior to the rodeo, living legends of the sport were front and centre in the arena where their tales were shared with the audience by rodeo announcer Ervin Charleyboy.
