The Lone Butte Fish & Wildlife Association (LBFWA) is having its annual Open House and Banquet Fundraiser at the 100 Mile Community Hall on Feb. 16.
The open house goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with displays, demonstrations and free antler scoring.
Expect to see representation from all kinds of outdoor clubs and organizations, including archery, shooting, fishing and hunting. Admission for the open house is free.
At 6:30 p.m., there is a prime rib and chicken dinner and dance with a chance to sample wild game recipes. Bring along your favourite dish and be in the running for prizes.
Tickets for the dinner are $40 and available at Exeter Sporting Goods. Your dinner ticket is also your entry for more than $4,000 worth of door prizes, including a new .22 calibre rifle.
“There will be lots of nice items,” says LBFWA member Jude Dion.
Children and youth under 19 years of age are welcome to attend the dinner, but they must leave by 9 p.m. when the dance begins.
