After a strong performance at last weekend’s AAAA BC Senior Girls Volleyball provincial championships in North Vancouver, Mount Baker Secondary libero Brooke Lightburn was named a member of the tournament’s All-Star team.

According to the team’s coach, Karen Kettenacker, Lightburn was one of only 12 players from the 16 participating teams to be bestowed with an All-Star honour.

The Wild team came in seventh place at provincials and beat fifth-ranked Kelowna in straight sets (2-0) in their final match of the year.

Lightburn has already signed to play for the local College of the Rockies Avalanche next year, where she will be joined by teammate Janine Harach, who signed with the Avs a few days later.
